Description
These ceramic grains are resin on resin bonded to the backing providing greater grain retention, as well as heat and moisture resistance. Furthermore, the ceramic grains on these 3 inch discs come with an additional grinding aid to lubricate during use, effectively reducing heat and preventing loading of softer materials. Reducing temperature during grinding is important because it extends the life of the abrasive itself and protects sensitive work pieces such as stainless steel, cobalt alloys, and nickel alloys from becoming burnt or stained. Additionally, ceramic grains prevent “after-rust” because they are contaminant free.
